Giant Devil Ray–Gibraltar 2006

On February 20,  2006, Gibraltar Post issued the official FDC features Giant Devil Ray or Mobula Mobular. This issue has related with the WWF stamps also have issued on the same date.
The Giant Devil Ray or Mobula Mobular is a species of eagle ray, family Myliobatidae, has a limited range and a low rate of reproduction. It is large animal , growing to a maximum length of 520 centimetres, and it possesses a spiny tail. The species feeds on crustaceans and small schools of fish.

The Giant Devil Ray is sensitive to environmental changes.The 2004 IUCN Red List listed the devil fish as a vulnerable species, but in 2006 it was reclassified as an endangered species.
